【原文】

子張問政， 子曰：〝居之無倦，行之以忠。〞

【參考譯文】

子張向孔子詢問政務， 孔子說：〝身居官位不懈怠，執行政策忠於原樣。〞

【English Translation】

 Zi Zhang asked about good government. Confucius said:

        "Never slacken in your position as an official and always fulfill your responsibilities loyally. "

【原文】

子曰：〝博學于文，約之以禮，亦可以弗畔矣夫！〞

【參考譯文】

孔子說：〝君子廣泛地學習文典籍，並用禮來約束自己的言行，就可避免離經叛道。〞

【English Translation】

Confucius said：“A gentleman who learns extensively,  reads widely and regulates himself with the rites will not go  beyond limits. "

【原文】

子曰： 〝君子成人之美，不成人之惡。小人反是。〞

【參考譯文】

孔子說：〝君子成全別人的好事，不去促成別人的壞事。小人與此相反。〞

【English Translation】

Confucius said: "A gentleman helps others fulfill good deeds and never helps them to do bad. A petty man does just the opposite. "
